What has been your career journey?

I entered the real estate industry influenced by the interests of my grandfather and father, who were actively involved in personal investment property portfolios. Initially, I took on a Saturday role as a receptionist. Upon completing my high school certificate, I transitioned to a full-time position and completed a traineeship, working toward a Certificate IV in Property Services. This full-time role provided me with the opportunity to spend significant time in the office, which fostered my appreciation for property management processes. As I progressed, I was promoted to a junior property manager and business development manager, where I successfully built a portfolio of 50 managements within my first eight months. Subsequently, I transferred to another agency, acquiring a senior property manager role overseeing 180 managements in an older seaside town, a position I held for 18 months. In 2016, I joined the Urban team as their first Business Development Manager—a newly established role. Under the guidance of the managing director, Chris, and operations manager, Jessica, I gained invaluable knowledge and experience. My responsibilities expanded to revamping the property management department, ultimately leading to my promotion to department head. During my tenure, I was a part of the growth from 180 properties to 450 organically and facilitated the acquisition of a small local rent roll. In 2019, I became a first-time mum to my daughter Frankie, which led me to take a short four-month leave. Upon my return, I continued to develop the portfolio, team, and structure. We acquired another local rent roll, bringing our total to over 1,000 managements and a team of more than 15 staff members within the property management division. In 2024, I took maternity leave, this time for a well-deserved 12 months to embrace motherhood with my son, Reggie. Currently, I serve as the Business Development Manager for the Northwest, where I continue to work with long term clients, existing clients & building relationships with new clients to assist them on the property journeys!
